Obama Control

Obama is ignoring constitutional separation of powers to implement gun control measures. By doing so he’s fundamentally transforming the American regime into a progressive dictatorship in which he can remove your natural law right to protect yourself and your family by himself, without Congress. — Mark Levin

Levin: We Need Obama Control!

Back from his holiday vacation, Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin took to the airwaves Monday night to lay out exactly what’s at stake with President Obama’s executive action on gun control.

Levin argues that, by ignoring the separation of powers in the constitution to implement gun control measures, President Obama is fundamentally transforming the American regime into a progressive dictatorship in which he can remove your natural law right to protect yourself and your family by himself, without Congress.

The Founders separated the powers of government into three co-equal branches in the constitution to prevent this and ensure that one branch of government would be kept in check by the others. Levin argues that the American Constitution was specifically designed to prevent someone like President Obama from taking away your liberties.

The constitution empowers the Republican-controlled Congress with the power of the purse to stop President Obama. But Republican leadership has long since surrendered that power.

Without the right of self-defense, humans have no rights at all.

We don’t need or want anyone’s permission to arm and defend ourselves. We don’t need a law — or in this case a fascist’s diktat — to tell us it’s right or wrong. Those are our primal freedoms, they come before and above any arbitrary man-made law.

It is the truth that matters. Be thankful there is a Second Amendment, not for our liberty, but to define the limits of those who think they have some special right to rule over us and our liberty. And that specifically applies to presidents.

God Preserve the United States of America.

Buckle Up, Hold On

In 2016, the Obama regime will unleash attacks upon all those things they believe must still be changed about the United States of America. There will be no peaceful transition, no care emanating from this White House.

On January 12, 2016, Obama will address the nation with a State of the Union (SOTU) speech. According to insiders, It will be unlike any SOTU delivered in the history of American politics and every word of it will have been forged by the mind of Valerie Jarrett.

We are forced to face reality: The only real difference between Obama and other social fascists is what Congress allows him to get away with. With GOP moderates in control at a time when there is a decidedly liberal Supreme Court, no American citizen can trust Congress to challenge Obama’s executive orders.

The great Dr. Thomas Sowell complained that it is not accurate to describe Obama as a "socialist." Socialists believe in the government ownership of the means of production, and Obama is perfectly content to leave the ownership of the means of production in private hands. No, Sowell maintained that Obama is a "fascist." A fascist allows you to own your business, but tells you how to run it.

Executive Shenanigans, Again

More executive action by the Obama social fascist regime will be part of a new year push — to make progress on a long-stalled attack on American firearms freedom before the 2016 election heats up.

The Obama regime wants the second-most (many believe most) important of every United States citizen’s Bill of Rights erased, or at least made irrelevant. What’s worse, there is an institutional hostility throughout America’s enabling media toward gun owners.

I know, I know, progressive regimes always try to disarm the people. It’s what social fascists do. Still, it’s hard to believe that in a nation of more than 100 million gun owners, Obama and his minions will not stop until you can no longer defend yourself, your family, or your property from… anyone.

Constitution is Legal, Not Living

"The Constitution means what it says and it doesn’t mean what it doesn’t say," warns Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Read on to understand what he means.

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia unleashed some of his harshest criticism yet for the court in a speech at Santa Clara University. Scalia has long been the most outspoken conservative on the court, but it is clear from his tone that he has never been more concerned about the direction of the Judicial Branch.

"The whole time I have been on my court, it has been a liberal court," Scalia said.

Scalia thinks the fundamental problem lies in the idea of the Constitution as a living document, subject to the whims of whichever justices happen to be minding the court. He disagreed with this position, telling the law students gathered there that the Constitution is a "legal document."

Resisting the Ruling Class

"To learn who rules over you, find out whom you are not allowed to criticize." — Voltaire

In 2010, Dr. Angelo M. Codevilla published a lengthy essay in the July issue of The American Spectator entitled America’s Ruling Class — And the Perils of Revolution (his essay was also posted as a series here at the B2J). To many republic-loving Americans, this author included, his work was as eye-opening as it was painful to even consider.

Dr. Codevilla is Professor Emeritus of International Relations at Boston University, Vice Chairman of the U.S. Army War College Board of Visitors, former U.S. Foreign Service Officer, and a Senior Fellow at The Claremont Institute. In his article (and books), Codevilla details how the elite have advanced in power and station as the nation has declined — and what is now brewing as a result.

Those Americans who have been paying attention to such things as the years have passed by recognize that both political parties of the ruling class share a piece of the action, regardless of which ideology controls the power at any given moment. The truth is, there is collusion between the establishment wing of the Republican Party and the social fascists of the Democrat Party, and it’s routinely illustrated in Washington, D.C. Both factions of America’s ruling class speak the same language and prefer the same bureaucratic tastes, habits, tools, and rewards. It rules uneasily over the majority of Americans not oriented to government.
